The country of Togo (west Africa) has held it’ s parlimentary elections on October 14th 2007. will this be the birth of democracy in the country after more than 35 years of dictatorship or not. Populations are called by the oppostion party UFC to react and claim for the true results to be published and previous memories of such things are, thousands of people always end up loosing their lives during the strikes. TOGOLESE FAMILIES REPORTED IN DEPORTATION PROCEDURE.
4 to 5 families have been reported in Omaha Nebraska (USA) in deportation procedure after local immigration agents detained them in Prison for weeks. Togolese families are commenting the situation in their country is not safe enough for asylum applicants to be deported back at this time. Some claim there has been not enough legal assistance offered to new arrivals in Omaha to help asylum applicants submit their claims with no discrepancy. This therefore causes many of them to have their claims denied or else private attorneys will rip them off by overcharging fees without helping them properly.
